Here at Rohwer's Farm we grow a wide variety of vegetables and fruit and are always trying something new. From artichokes to zucchini, you name it, we probably grow it or have tried it. We always enjoy trying a new crop when our customers suggests one or find something fun and strange in the seed catalog. Heirloom crops are our specialty and we collect a lot of our own seed. Starting our plants in our seedling house in January, we grow most of our own stock from seed and offer a large variety of the plants for sale at the market.
From planting twenty thousand onions by hand the first part of spring to bringing in the winter squash and picking up potatoes in late fall to planting the greenhouses for winter we work to always have fresh produce available. With three hoop houses we are able to grow all year. It's always exciting to see what the next season will bring! |
